Yes, everyone wants to go. It's worth seeing once. Stay in Oia or Imerovigli for the caldera view, check the cruise-ship schedule before you book sunset, and book Ammoudi dinner a week ahead. Three nights is plenty.

Mykonos earns its reputation. The old town wins at night. Little Venice around 9pm, then Matogianni Street for drinks. Skip Super Paradise in August; Agrari and Lia stay human. Budget roughly doubles in July.

Our pick for first-time island-hoppers. Plaka and Agios Prokopios are nearly 4km of uninterrupted sand, Halki village hides a handful of excellent tavernas, and the mountain drive up to Apiranthos deserves a whole day.
